Happsa launches Innovate RAP during National Reconciliation Week celebrations

Happsa proudly launched its Innovate RAP today at National Reconciliation Week celebrations.

Attendees of the launch and celebrations enjoyed a Welcome to Country, Smoking Ceremony followed by a Yidiki Didgeridoo performance by Danny and Josh from the Bunurong Land Council.

Happsa’s Managing Director Operations, Harry Georgiou said that the Innovate RAP marks an exciting period for the team and a journey that Happsa are pleased to embark on.

“We believe that although we have a good foundation to build on our diverse, experienced and skilled workforce, we can improve.”

“One of our goals is to expand our diversity and to further support and include Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders in our operations.”

“We are achieving this through supporting Indigenous-owned businesses and supplier diversity, creating cultural awareness training opportunities for our people, supporting Indigenous charities and working with partners on initiatives of opportunity in business and employment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples,” said Harry.

“We acknowledge the work our team has done on both preceding Reflect RAPs and as owners, we are proud to say that we are one in five commercial cleaning companies in Australia to have a RAP at Innovate stage.”

Happsa officially begun its RAP journey in March 2019 with our first Reflect RAP becoming officially endorsed in July 2019.
