When Happsa Group cleaner, John received a call in the middle of the night recently that his site was not secure, he leapt out of bed.
John received a security call to say that the alarm at the suburban shopping centre he cleans was not working and the site was not secure.
He quickly attended the site, and in speaking with the security company, realised that there was a fault with the alarm pad that needed repair. Since it was 1:30am and the technician could not attend the site until 6:30 am, John stayed at the site making sure it was secure until the technician arrived.
Centre Manager Kate said that she was extremely concerned to learn that the alarm wouldn’t arm.
“Then I heard that John had stayed at the site to ensure it was secure for the night till we got someone in to repair the alarm the next day and again I was reminded just how lucky we are to have John here at the centre.”
“It is a testament to the type of employee John is, he continually shows his amazing work ethic and that he is always willing to go above and beyond to help in any situation,” Kate said.
“John is not only one of the hardest working employees I have ever had the pleasure of working with, he is an extremely kind man which I see on a daily basis, retailers and customers always comment on what an amazing job he does here at the centre. He honestly treats the centre like his home and we are extremely grateful to have someone as wonderful as John working at this centre.”
