Happsa Group was proud to sponsor the recent Little Long Walk at St Bede’s College, an inspiring event that brought students, staff, and the community together to celebrate and learn about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture.

Inspired by Michael Long’s 2004 journey to Canberra, the event saw students walk from the Mentone campus to the Derrimut Weelam Gathering Place in Mordialloc, carrying colourful banners they had created in preparation for the day. At the Gathering Place, students heard from Indigenous speakers and experienced a moving didgeridoo performance. They then formed a line along the beach to meditate while looking out across the bay — a moment of reflection and connection to Country. The day concluded with an energetic hip-hop performance from the IOP Dance Crew, celebrating culture and community through music and movement.
