Happsa, in partnership with Supply Nation, held a Supplier Diversity information session recently.
Attended by Happsa’s Reconciliation Action Plan Working Group, the session focused on Happsa’s goals and objectives in supplier diversity and its support of Indigenous business.
The team learnt about how Happsa works with Supply Nation to source Indigenous business to include in its supply chain.
Happsa’s Managing Director Operations Harry Georgiou said that Suppler Diversity training was an opportunity to showcase the benefits of working with Indigenous business.
“We have worked hard over the last few years to partner with Indigenous business having carefully selected businesses that are the right fit for Happsa,” Harry said.
“Working with like-minded suppliers, we are able to give back to our community through our procurement spend which support things like community projects, education and employment initiatives for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.”
Happsa has increased its spend with Indigenous business year on year and now has approximately 12 Indigenous businesses in its supply chain.
